For anyone interested in the true teachings of Jesus, The Measure of Christ’s Love is a must read. This book will change the way you think about Jesus and even more importantly the way you think about who you really are as a human and spiritual being.-Bill Gladstone author of “The Twelve” and co-author of “The Golden Motorcycle Gang” with Jack Canfield.

This review is from: The Measure of Christ’s Love: In His Own Words, Jesus Reveals the Mysteries of His Teachings (Paperback)

Just last night, I had the pleasure of finishing The Measure of Christ’s Love, a soft cover book that delivers a hard cover punch. Editor, compiler, and contributor, Vera Lauren, has mid-wifed an extraordinary book that makes us privy to the story of Jesus’ time here on earth as it is told in his own words. As a reader of the Jewish faith, I was able to get a glimpse of the Christ, the radiant soul possessed of a quiet power, who came to earth to teach us that God indeed speaks to the “chosen;” however, all are “chosen” who allow God’s presence to fill and merge with them. There is so much beauty and wisdom contained between the covers of Christ’s Love, that I will be keeping it on my nightstand so that I can re-read select portions regularly. From my heart ~ Thank you.

This review is from: The Measure of Christ’s Love: In His Own Words, Jesus Reveals the Mysteries of His Teachings (Paperback)

I am an Atheist; at least I thought I was, until I read The Measure of Christ’s Love. I only read this book because of conversations I had some years ago with Vera Lauren and always liked her non-imposing, non-dogmatic approach to spiritualty. I also like the science behind her philosophies. Vera always said that in one way most Atheist have it right because the angry God they are told to believe in does not exist. This is a really virtuous book for anyone interested in an intelligent perspective on a plethora of topics leaving me wanting more. I have always been turned off by Bible thumping Jesus freaks, and now I find myself admiring this gentle teacher whose main philosophy is to love unconditionally. How frustrating it must be to tell people over and over your simple messages and not only have them be manipulated, but to be called God. It is outrageous! I have been witness to much religious arrogance and yet it is almost comical if not sad that this incredible master had to waste precious time convincing people he is only an example of our potential. This is another thing this book defined for me, that the word Christ means universal conscious. Actually, Krishna means Christ–and Krishna is one of the first Christ’s we have historical records on and I question why this is not commonly known in the West. I especially enjoyed the question and answer section as well as the very informative glossary. I anxiously look forward to the next book.

This review is from: The Measure of Christ’s Love: In His Own Words, Jesus Reveals the Mysteries of His Teachings (Paperback)

I have always been a Bible thumping religious person, but pretty much a follower–that is until now. This book does not go against anyone’s personal religious beliefs; rather, has you revisit the many mis-interpretations and completely dismisses an angry punishing God that always seemed contradictory to Jesus’ messages of unconditional love. I am not saying I have all the answers nor does this teaching; however, I have personally gained inner peace and spiritual strength. Yes, my religious foundation was shaken, but that is a good thing as now it is heavenly reinforced with intelligence, intuition, intentions and reasoning, not dogma and fear. I am thrilled to share my passion and enthusiasm for the book, The Measure of Christ’s Love.

This review is from: The Measure of Christ’s Love: In His Own Words, Jesus Reveals the Mysteries of His Teachings (Paperback)

I really enjoyed reading this fascinating and very well written book. It is uplifting and full of hope – a particularly welcome message in today’s often gloom filled world. I particularly like that Christ’s message focusses on love and forgiveness of others and self, and expressly discourages worship through fear. I also like that topics not usually associated with Christian teachings, such as the Om and the Third Eye, are addressed in an enlightening way. Light comes in with this book.

This is a beautifully written book with great wisdom. I agree with others here that you should not let the title stop you as it is not the overly religious book it may sound like but far more spiritually focused. I love the messages already mentioned by others about acceptance and unconditional love first of ourselves and then others. I have confidence that it will bring comfort and insight to all who read it.

This review is from: The Measure of Christ’s Love: In His Own Words, Jesus Reveals the Mysteries of His Teachings (Paperback)

Not being someone who is conventionally religious, the title would usually send me in the other direction; but I found this to be beautifully written and insightful read which left me with alot to think about. I found myself turning back to it to re-read certain chapters. Not being well-versed on the metaphysical, it was an easy way to become more enlightened. Definitely thought-provoking and it will be under some Christmas trees this year!

Like some readers, I was a little skeptical of the title at first, HOWEVER, I found this book intriguing from the very beggining. Page after page the authors did a clear and concise job conveying the messages of spirituality in a non “preachy” and self elightening way. For me it was a thought provoking “feel good” read that definately left me wanting more! I highly reccomend it to both spiritual and non spiritual readers or anyone that is interested in metaphysical topics.

This review is from: The Measure of Christ’s Love: In His Own Words, Jesus Reveals the Mysteries of His Teachings (Paperback)

Although I respect anyone living their life for the greater good, I do not read books about the Christ because I come from a Jewish background. However, I was encouraged to do read The Measure of Christ’s Love by a friend I highly respect and his promise regarding the nature of this book held true on every page. This book taught me that the word Christ means universal consciousness, and the master teacher Jesus lived as an example of our potential as did many Jewish masters. According to Jesus, the Jews have it right, he is not God nor did he ever say he was. This book also merges the Hebrew teachings with Metaphysical philosophies, as Jesus speaks of the valuable benefits these sacred teachings hold for humankind and they are not just meant for Jewish congregations; they are universal. For example, he specifically mentions the Fire Letters and Kabbalah, and details topics such as the Tree of life. I encourage you to read these messages and share this book with everyone you know then perhaps peace on earth will be a reality.

Being raised a Catholic, the concepts seemed a little outlandish in comparison to what I learned or heard growing up, but don’t let that deter you from reading this book. This book is an excellent read, if you want to a spiritual person’s perspective on spirituality and metaphysics. Regardless of what your views on spirituality are, I recommend you read this because it is truly enlightening and you can learn. I hope and look forward to this author’s future works, as should you, if you find this book equal as enlightening.

This review is from: The Measure of Christ’s Love: In His Own Words, Jesus Reveals the Mysteries of His Teachings (Paperback)

I’m not a religious person, so when I saw the title of this book by Vera Lauren and Julian Dove, I was a little skeptical. I’ve been in intense life or death situations as a US Marine in Viet Nam attached to a helicopter squadron in Marine Air Group 16 (MAG-16). I witnessed atrocities and the deeds of heroes alike. So,the title THE MEASURE OF CHRIST’S LOVE definitely intrigued me. I bought a copy and at first all I did was scan through it to see if it warranted serious consideration for my reading library and guess what, it was filled with inspirational tidbits as Christ walks through the world, discussing the things that make the world turn, reaching into many corners of your mind as if Christ had been virtually reborn. So, I’m still not religious, but I found the experience of the writer’s words breathing and giving life to a virtual reality character of Christ. Reading this book was a real joy and makes you think about Christ’s redeeming grace as it affects your life. His words are real, bringing one into an introspective analysis of where you’ve been, where you’re going and whether you’ve given back to those who nutured you through life to this point. The book doesn’t corner you on any religious philosophy, but it does impart a psychological awareness of Christ’s teachings, beliefs and paths travelled. I guarantee that when you start one chapter, you’ll find it difficult not to keep reading even when your eyes tire and you’re forced to wait until the next day to complete it, that’s right, you’ll get through this book in a couple days because it holds you in its grip and I suspect that many of those who have read THE MEASURE OF CHRIST’S LOVE already have found a more peaceful place in their lives. IN RETROSPECT, one wonders how this book came to be written, are the authors somehow speculating about Christ as human being or diety, or was it a once in a lifetime experience created by the authors sharing a lifetime of walking in the shadow of Christ’s love, an experience now shared with the world. Buy this book and begin your journey that never ends, but as you travel you’ll discover that the title is true to the words found inside through THE MEASURE OF CHRIST’S LOVE. I highly recommend this book for the families of active duty military still facing danger overseas, and for those who have returned, confused about the pain war is destined to leave in its path, and grief suffered by the loss of friends in combat. Sometimes life makes no sense and that’s why THE MEASURE OF CHRIST’S LOVE can bring peace to troubled minds and souls. CHECK IT OUT!!

This review is from: The Measure of Christ’s Love: In His Own Words, Jesus Reveals the Mysteries of His Teachings (Paperback)

I never paid much attention when someone defined themselves as spiritual; rather, than religious. This book opened my mind to the major differences, but without judgment. This thought provoking tome is universal in its scientifically spiritual approach to the many questions human beings tend to ponder from time to time, if only in our inner dialogue, including such topics as evolution versus Darwinism; two of my favorite topics juxtaposed in a most complementary way. Purchasing and sharing this book is a way for us to do our part in raising our personal consciousness. I was truly and pleasantly, surprised. All blessings and Peace. Donny

This review is from: The Measure of Christ’s Love: In His Own Words, Jesus Reveals the Mysteries of His Teachings (Paperback)

As a younger person just beginning to delve into the world of the metaphysical, I was naturally skeptical picking up a book with such a provocative title. Shrugging off the skepticism, I gave it a read and am proud to say that this book is one of the more fascinating and informative introductions I could have had. The messages are succint yet beautifully multi-faceted; I found the words within truly thought-inspiring. I have a feeling that this is a book I will hold onto and consistently refer to as I continue on my own journey into the spiritual and metaphysical!

I am an avid lifelong reader of Metaphysical philosophies and tire of the many redundant books or worse yet, “authors” who rip off another’s work. The Measure of Christ’s Love is unique and filled with practical suggestions and realistic, simple techniques designed for everyone, no matter your religious affiliation. There is information of Jesus’ early years never before shared by him through his messenger, Catherine Julian Dove. I found this inspiring and enlightening. Recognizing Vera Lauren’s many contributions, I totally respect the purity of her ghost writing and responsible editing skills. Both Vera and Catherine’s collaboration with Jesus is non-imposing. I look forward to the many promised books to come and cannot stop telling others they must read this now to keep up. Sue Ward, MS CCN

I am not a religious person, but I was born in to a Jewish family; therefore, a book with this title is not usually on my list. Thanks to a dear friend, I am grateful I decided to peruse this scared teaching. To my surprise, The Measure of Christ’s Love turned out to be all encompassing, clearly explaining that the Jewish and Christian teachings were never meant to be exclusive for those specific religions. Spiritual wisdom is to be made available for everyone and Jesus does not belong to any religion, not even to the Christian religions. I also love that this book never imposes anything on the reader other than to have an open heart and mind. I can only imagine how different our lives would be if everyone read this book, implemented the techniques offered and raised the consciousness of our world.

Normally, this title would turn me off, now I am glad I went with my instincts or I would have missed out on incredible insights. Catherine and Vera do a beautiful job of clearly relating information, some of which has never before been shared on the planet. It is refreshing not to be reading rehashed Metaphysical nonsense that never really reveals the whole truth. The techniques are practical and user friendly, while revealing the how and the why. The question and answer section is a cornucopia of wisdom and the glossary is a bonus guide.

  1. H. McDonald Jr. “The American Author Assoc… (Elk Grove, CA USA) – See all my reviews (REAL NAME)

This review is from: The Measure of Christ’s Love: In His Own Words, Jesus Reveals the Mysteries of His Teachings (Paperback)

This is one of those special books that come along where you are left totally confused about what you wish to accept and believe. A large part of me really wants to embrace this book as a work of truth; and the book itself as a messenger. I did not know Catherine Dove, the women who channeled these words from “Jesus” and others. I cannot pass any judgement on her – I really do not know what to make of it all. I figure there are only 3 possibilities when it comes to “judging this book”: 1) It is all the truth 2) It is the work of a delusional but well meaning women 3) It is totally fictional. If the reader allows themselves to become fully open-minded and chooses to accept the possibility of this accounting as being “the truth” – then this could be a book of revelation and prophecy. If it is really the truth and one chooses not to believe it and belittles what is written within these pages it could be a huge crime against the authors and perhaps even the Divine Lord. So, I chose to take a different route to reading this book. I just read it for the messages that were shared. I tried not to judge any of it. I do not feel qualified to judge anyone else’s spiritual experiences. Catherine Dove writes what she believes to be the truth so I respected that. The messages inside the pages of this book are very much inline with most new age takes on the life of Jesus the Christ, but she makes it a loving tale and offers up much for the reader to think about. I would recommend this book to others without passing any judgment on it. I took the same attitude when I first read “Conversations with God”. Perhaps everyone is just tapping into their own higher self; and since we are all one with GOD, then maybe all conversations with ourselves are truly conversations with God at that basic level. The book is well edited and presented by Vera Lauren who faithfully delivers Catherine’s messages. Conversations With God : An Uncommon Dialogue (Book 1)
